3D Christmas at My Craft Spot!

Happy Monday, sweet friends! I hope your week is off to a wonderful start. :o) Today begins a new challenge at My Craft Spot! We're turning festive with a theme of 3D Christmas! I'm excited to see what you talented peeps link up!

For my project, I made my first ever Christmas Tussie Mussie. (They're also known as Christmas cone ornaments... but it's more fun saying tussie mussie.)
Whenever my mom sees these cones in Victorian or holiday magazines, she turns all dreamy. Since she doesn't own any, I made her one for her Christmas tree. :o) You can fill them with treats or whatever your heart desires. For heartfelt wintry wishes, I combined two Pion Design paper collections: My Precious Daughter (tiny pink hearts for the sentiments) and Silent Night (for the snowflake cone).
Since we're nature lovers, I filled it with nature's beauty. Peace & Joy is from My Craft Spot's O Holy Night stamp set, which I stamped upon the sweet heart paper and cut out with the Lacy Banners metal dies. This is one of my all-time favorite stamp sets from Kimberly! I love it to bits. I inserted a Wild Orchid Crafts crown pearl pin through the lacy banner and nestled it in the arrangement.

My cone is bursting with white and Pink Mist Wild Orchid Crafts roses, along with pine branches and tiny pine cones. For the berries I used pale pink mini poms. Polar White Flower Soft is sprinkled throughout as snow.
My second sentiment is also from O Holy Night, which I cut out with the Ribbon Banners- Wavy metal dies. I love the elegant fonts in this set! I set it atop a heart from Cheery Lynn Designs' Two of Hearts set. The crinkle ribbon for the hanger and bottom detailing is also from My Craft Spot, which I used in shades of Petal Pink and Snow White. The bow is centered with a WOC scalloped pearl.

I used a 3D cone cut file from the Silhouette Online Store for my base, but removed the hearts along the top so I'd have room for my ruffly sheer ribbon. :o) I trimmed it with more roses for a pretty border. Spiraling down the cone is tiny pom trim from JoAnn's, which I paired with a flat-back pearl strand from The Ribbon Girl. A few snowflakes from Cheery Lynn were added at the last minute for extra dimension.
I hope my mom gets as much joy from it as I had creating it. I made it with all of the sparkly Christmas love my heart holds. :o)

Be sure to visit My Craft Spot to see sweet creations from some of my teamies! I hope you can play along with us this week. :o) Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a day of love and blessings. :o)

Joy, Hope, and Peace

Hello, sweet friends! I'm sharing some Christmas cheer on the My Craft Spot blog today. :o)

One of the sweetest ways to deliver festive love is with the new Tiny Tags Christmas stamp set! Tiny Tags are innately adorable and I appreciate that Kimberly included both whimsical and divine sentiments for the season.
As many of you know, most of my projects are donated to a beautiful non-profit to bring sparkly love to those in need of extra love and sunshine. The I Feel the Love Project always dedicates our Christmas collections to children (and their parents) who will be spending the holiday in the hospital. This year our love will be sent to a children's hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and this is my newest card for them. Since they cannot be home, I made a decorated house scene to warm their hearts.
The banner is truly the most important part of the card. This is my Tiny Tag version of the prayer flag project! (I am eager to sew an actual one... hopefully soon'ish.) Are you familiar with it? Essentially you create a banner for a particular cause/prayer and hang it outside. As it flutters in the breeze, the prayers of our heart are sent upward to our faithful God. My goal is to create one per month next year for 12 people/organizations in need... it would be such a joy to mail it to them after they've fluttered for a while, as a reminder to them that they are never alone.

For my card, I chose two of my favorite sentiments from this set to encourage the recipients to grow ever closer to the One who can heal the precious child. They are cut out with the coordinating Tiny Tags metal dies and strung with Cherry Red traditional twine.
The exterior of my Impression Obsession Brick House is decorated with rhinestones as Christmas lights and the windows are backed with festive scenes. Naturally my sweet little house is overflowing with love, evidenced by the heart-shaped puffs of smoke from the chimney. ♥︎ The sweet pearls are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The fancy snow drift was made with Marianne Design's Fancy Edge with Lattice die. My card base is made with Cheery Lynn Designs' Horizon Square Boutique Stacker dies and my snowflake background paper is from Papermania's Bellissima Christmas collection. The frolicking deer are from the Memory Box Deer Trio set.

An angled view to better show the embossed house:
Thank you for visiting and I wish you a blessed day! :o)

Christmas Candy Fairy

Hello, sweet friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. :o)

Today I'm sharing my newest contribution for this month's I Feel the Love Project recipients. We are creating cards for kiddos (and their parents) who will be spending Christmas at a children's hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It is a privilege to spread some heavenly love to their battling hearts!

(My apologies for the ultra-sparklified and fluffified image... only because I had trouble photographing it properly! Hehe.)
When I saw this darling Christmas Candy Fairy stamp from The Paper Shelter, I had to color it up for one of the precious children. She's irresistibly sweet! I added Glamour Dust to her wings, holly berries, and candy. The trim of her outfit and slippers are covered in Polar White Flower Soft. Fuzzy slippers were a must. :o) The joyous sentiment is from My Craft Spot's Merry & Bright set, one of my favorites. :o) It is stamped upon one of the gorgeous dies from Marianne Design's Petra's Heart collection in Lady Bug Red and Cottage Ivy Memento inks.
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts, beneath which I nestled sparklified Memory Box and Cheery Lynn Designs snowflakes. I wanted this card to bubble up with all the love I have for this brave child, so I topped it with La-La Land Craft's Heart Doily Border. For textural fun I added a layer of Scarlet Red crinkle ribbon and twine, upon which I added fuzzy jingly bells.

The snowflake paper is from BoBunny, while the rest are from Graphic 45's Nutcracker Sweet collection. For one final layer of love, I used my Martha Stewart Lace Heart Edge punch. Some things went a little willy nilly with this card, but thankfully what truly matters is that my and God's love will soon envelop the beautiful heart for which it was made. :o)

(Okay, so perhaps I could have used a touch less Glamour Dust...)
Thank you for fluttering on by! Have a sweet and sparkly day. :o)

Use Metal at My Craft Spot!

Hello, sweet friends! I hope you had a wonderful first weekend of November! (Eeeep!) Today begins a new challenge at My Craft Spot and this week it's all about metal (Real or Faux)! I personally love metal accents on cards, so I'm excited to see what everyone links up. :o)

It was a tough week for me health-wise, so I'm thankful I was able to squeeze out this little card on time! I'm feeling much better now and am eager to return to normal crafting. :o) (I'm ready to burst, actually!)
For my simple card, I used a couple of my favorite goodies from Kimberly's newest release. :o) And since I love metal so much, I used three types: metal filigree corners from Wild Orchid Crafts, jingly bells, and a snowflake charm. The jolly sentiment is from the O Holy Night stamp set, which I've nestled inside one of the new Shaker Ornaments SVG files. I love these fun files and so many of Kimberly's festive sentiments fit inside. :o)
The shaker is filled with colors from the Berry Red and Christmas Candy sequin sets, along with some crystalline microbeads. I accented my ornament (and the snowy flourishes) with crystal and garnet Recollections rhinestones. I put a ring of Star Dust around the sides of the shaker window (inside and out) for extra sparkle. Chocolate twine serves as my ornament hanger.

The snowflake paper was a freebie from a magazine, which my sweetheart surprised me with a few weeks ago. :o) I paired it with gorgeous patterns from the Teresa Collins Christmas Home collection, which I won from my sweet friend Diana. (Thank you!) The Fancy Flourish die cuts are from My Favorite Things and are topped with snowflakes from Cheery Lynn Designs.
Be sure to visit My Craft Spot to check out the beautiful creations from some of my teamies! Thank you for fluttering on by and I wish you a beautiful day! :o)
